Original Post: A Gift of Short Story

Since, I don’t want to miss any of the requests, I will add an update each time I get one.

Request # 1:

  • By: jrhandleyblog
  • “Military science fiction set in 4987AD!😉 Lots of blood, sex and action packed into it, high octane baby!!”
    • Some science fiction authors write their story lines touching on the year
    • The easier would be to write blood and sex… action could be difficult.. well I’ll need chips and popcorn and soda to get creative. It will happen!

PS: If you guys have any ideas about the action, I may take them. 😉

Request # 2:

  • By: Tammy @ a word about books
  • I did not receive her request yet, but she will give it to me soon. ^_^

Request # 3:

  • By: Quintessential Editor
  • “Genre: Dystopian Future
    • Idea: In a future society truth is valued more than any currency. So much so that when a baby is born a chip is implanted into their brain. This chip prevents the impulse to lie. This system has been in place long enough for everyone to be fitted with a chip. A solar flare from the sun disables all of the chips. However, there are no sparks or pain. They just simply switch off.
    • Whatever gender character allows you to be more creative.
    • The distance future.”
      • Main character will be female since I think for this topic, it would be easier to write from a perspective that I may have better a better connection with
      • I already have an idea for the beginning and the ending… now I just need to think up the middle.

PS: If you guys have an idea on future year it should be, I’m willing to hear opinions

Request # 4:

  • By: Nil
  • “Genre: Historical
    • Idea: The MC has been training to assassinate the king for years. However, she ends up finding out that she is actually the king’s long lost daughter.
    • Preferably female, but gender doesn’t really matter.”
      • Main Character: Female
      • thinking the story will happen during the winter season

PS: If you guys have an idea on a King, let me know ^_^

Suspicious towards the reason he was sent on the mission, the warrior decides to investigate the situation further. Is his king in the wrong or has his old friend truly changed? Either way, his loyalty is about to be tested.

      • Physique – strong, fit like a warrior should be

Into the Flames: Main Character

Comments 11 Standard

Hey everyone.

Here are the two posts about my work in progress:

Into the Flames: 3rd book and how it came to be and Plans for my third book

I want to introduce you to my main character, Omari.

img_1457

Omari is young and clueless about her destiny. She was first mentioned by The queen of the Phoenixes to Gardenia in  book cover. That happened was when Gardenia received a day off from her studies from her third teacher, Ri.

Omari is the daughter of the 7th king of Phame and is the heir to the throne. She has several appearances, the above image is of her at the beginning of the novel. Innocence, right? She is afraid of spiders, her room at the mansion, and of fate. She is of of the drinking age and never been to college, mainly due to not having money. When high school ended, she joined the workforce and worked her cute little butt off so she could have a better life. Those experiences made her the person she is at the beginning of the novel which is a pretty good one. Go 7th King!

That’s it for now! If I give anything else away… that could really give away my turns and spins of book 3.

Enjoy the weekend!

What are some of your crossovers? Do you have characters crossing over from novel to novel?

Book Review: Women in Science – 50 Fearless Pioneers Who Changed The World

Book Title: Women in Science – 50 Fearless Pioneers Who Changed The Worldsnip20160910_22

Book Author and Illustrator: Rachel Ignotofsky

Rating: 5 Dragon Paws 5 paws

This is a great book for young girls, women, women reading or science clubs, and men. The language is simple, straight to the point, and appealing to any audience because of the accompanying illustrations. Every woman has two pages, one for an individual drawing and the other is for one page of information. The information is: of when the woman was born, any accomplishments, and people who inspired them, and some facts.

One can find the list of women in the very beginning, learn about each of the 50 women, and glimpse at the section “More women in science.” What I liked about that section was that the last woman is left blank and it says “The next great scientist could be you!” That is an inspiration for young girls who are thinking about careers and what to do after high school. The book also provides an illustrated glossary section and a list of sources that Rachel used for this book.

I will be buying a couple of copies as gifts for March 8, International Women’s Day. ^_^

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
