Before I get to the review…. Can I get like the other books in the series emailed to me by the author as well? 😉 Yes, beautiful readers, this is how good, book 1 is. ^_^

This was a great read. One of my top 10 reads for 2017 and I haven’t even read 10 books yet haha. Anyway, this book is about different groups of individuals – the Paragons, the Luminary, shape shifters, immortals, and humans. It’s predominately written from a Paragon’s point of view though the author did a terrific job of showing the events from other points of views as well. Was easy to follow and it made it more enjoyable and fun.

It’s hard to write this review because I feel like I’m jumping around the topics, I apologize.

So, what happens is that an evil plot killed off many soulmates so there were a lot of people who lost theirs. It’s the Paragon’s jobs to make sure that everyone gets a chance at real love and so Wicus, our main Paragon, wants to make sure that his favorite human gets a soulmate and a perfect one at that. We don’t know who’s behind the evil plot or really why but it does bring in intrigue into the story line.

This book has a variety of different characters…there are even talking candelabras… for those who saw the new Beauty and the Beast movie, you will like the candelabra in this book. 😉 Wicus is a great character and I felt connected to his emotions. Lately, it’s been a rarity for me to be able to connect with book characters so this was nice.

The book has a good ending and a preview into book 2. I would recommend it to older teens of 16 and older.

Book Review: The Wrong Man

Book Title: The Wrong Man
Book Author: K.C.  Willivee

It’s a fast paced romance story about a woman who lost her brother to a cruel death and the man who went down for it.

The writing is really good. The characters are interesting, thinking that Anastasia can have have her own story. K.C. Should write a novella about her. However, I didn’t appreciate the point of views jumping though it was a nice try. It was most surprising to see Brigitte’s point of you, only at the end of the paragraph that I read who was thinking. Also it didn’t help the story.

Back to the writing. K.C. has some really great descriptions going on which helped me to enjoy the story. It’s a great book and romance readers would eat it up. I liked the humor in the story, especially about the movies and how one can learn from them. Humor helps break tension and there was a lot of tense situations. Well done.

So, I have read Ravenna Young PI book and decided to give it a try with a book under her other name and boy, I didn’t expect what I read. A great book with an interesting twist. An easy going story line that is a fast read. I actually read it all today during my 4 tries of putting the baby to sleep.

So, I was waiting for this book for like forever. I just adore this series. Issy is a fun character and I’m glad that …. oops almost said something that many would find to be a spoiler alert.

Anyway, there’s another death in town and the witch cousins are at it again! Solving the case that is. Seriously, they should be hired as consultants by the police or the FBPI… keep your enemies close kind of thing. Gordon, Dex’s pet has grown and we learned about what treats he likes (hopefully people don’t consider that a spoiler ;)). Also, I’m thinking in book 4, it’s going to heat up. Dex’s boss will return to the scene, we will learn more about the new character that graced the town, and hopefully will learn about DeeDee’s match. Maybe, he’s not that bad? For some reason, I think it’s the new character that graced the town…but hey I’m probably wrong.

Miss Dobbs did it again with this one. She’s still a favorite read of mine. I like hoe easy the reading is and that I was able to read it so fast in my small personal breaks. I recommend it to 16 and over.

Book Review: The Past Life Series: Book 1

Book Title: The Past Life Series (Book 1 out of 3) Snip20170308_2

Book Author: Terri Herman-Ponce

So far I read book 1 out of 3 in this collection and I gotta say this – nice take on the past lives aspect. It’s written wonderfully with interesting characters. Nice interpretation about how a past life can influence the present and how one may be able to make a different choice.

Book 1 finished at about 30% of the collection and not sure when I’ll finish the rest, but I’ll keep reading. This is a great for audiences who like reading about Egypt, past lives, and who are okay with psychology. It’s possible to finish it in one sitting, however, it took me weeks of reading it due to taking care of my baby. 5 minutes here, 5 minutes there, but hey as long as one’s reading. Right?
