Book review: The Embers We Seek (A Rebel Princess Serial, #3) @acaciakparker

I loved the reunion and I bet my bestie Laura was thinking thoughts that I can’t write down lol

We learn what happened to Wren’s mother and more about the sexy soldier that Wren keeps thinking about. It’s nice to see Mor back. For such short chapters, it’s amazing how much Acacia is able to show in them. Props to the author.

I’d say this series will be good for 18+.  Yeah. Why?

I don’t think I mentioned that it’s a retelling of a classic story. You don’t even know its one until episode 2 which is this one. I have to say I look forward to see how Acacia retells the story. Already its so much more fun that the original. Wren continues to be a strong female lead which I love.

I’d say this series will be good for 18+.  I think I like that hellhound.

I loved it! This is such a big difference to Acacia’s previous characters. From a quiet lone gal, surviving with dangerous creatures and a timid store owner to a powerful warrior Wren.

This is a first episode that reads very fast and you’re zapped into the story line right from the start. There’s magic and mayhem. There’s soldiers and battle plans. There’s decisions and consequences. All gift wrapped in a short episode. Again loved it.

I’d say this series will be good for 18 and over just because of the images that may build in your head.

Book Author:  Renee Lake

Rating: 5 Dragon Paws 5-paws

Renee has impressed me with this book. As I fell deeper into the story line, I realized just how hard it must have been to write the story.

The main gal is a college freshman and I think her young nature is refreshing and very different from Renee other characters in the other books I’ve read. It was fun reading the social media interaction between the characters, diary entries, and recordings. It gave an extra touch to make it that much more special.

I didn’t even know who I was rooting for until the very end – the romance or the vampire hunters. I felt connected to both parties involved and the ending was executed to perfection.

It may feel a little long but it’s so worth it. I was beaming at the end. Awesome read. This book is for 21 years of age and those who like reading about LGBT romances.
