Book Review: Stone Wielder (Middengard Sagas #3)

Book Title: Stone Wielder (Middengard Sagas #3) jw

This is a great ending to the story about the children, their children and how the bad came with the good. There’s sadness of loosing a couple of characters and the last 40% felt rushed but they made sense. Very good writing. In a sense you can finish reading the story on this book, but I saw there are at least two more books. The way things worked out and secrets were revealed. It was satisfying.

I’d say this series will be good for 15+.

Book Review: Stone Quest (Middengard Sagas #2)

Book TitleStone Quest (Middengard Sagas #2) sk2

I may have predicted who is the bad guy in book 2, but I had no idea how it will be revealed. So much happened – new characters, new lessons, death, war, search for the second stone, and betrayal. This book had me on edge for most of the adventure. I didn’t know if someone would die at any moment or someone would betray or worse forget the adventure all together. I can’t wait to read book 3. It’s next on my list. This is a great fantasy adventure. ^_^

I’d say this series will be good for 15+. Book 2 could be for a little older like 17+ mainly because there are some important concepts to grasp that a younger person may miss and not enjoy the story as much.

Book Review: Stone Keeper (Middengard Sagas #1)

Book Title: Stone Keeper (Middengard Sagas #1) sk1

So, I got this book in February and after reading book 1, I bought book 2 and 3. This is a middle grade fiction that doesn’t really feel like one. Main characters range age from 12 to 16 and there are time jumps to explain what events of the past influenced the present where Alice becomes the stone keeper.

The background history pulls you into the story line. It’s amazing. The characters and their emotions they move the story along. They are maybe kids but the adventure makes them grow up and makes them question things. It’s a very beautiful book although it does have sad moments.

I’d say this series will be good for 15+.

Book Review: Super Humans (The New Super Humans #1)

Book Title: Super Humans (The New Super Humans #1) sh1

Book Author: T.M. Franklin

Rating: 4 Dragon Paws 4

This book was not something I expected. I’m used to reading stories about super heroes and they are always over the top. This one wasn’t. It’s book where we meet two super humans and their friends. It’s a slow read but satisfying. I was highly impressed with the details and with how they find each other. There are multiple of views and they flow very nicely so it’s an easy read. Due to some language, I’d say it’s for 18+. If you like super powers and heroes, this book is for you. Good luck in saving the world with Chloe.

Book review: The Embers We Seek (A Rebel Princess Serial, #3) @acaciakparker

I loved the reunion and I bet my bestie Laura was thinking thoughts that I can’t write down lol

We learn what happened to Wren’s mother and more about the sexy soldier that Wren keeps thinking about. It’s nice to see Mor back. For such short chapters, it’s amazing how much Acacia is able to show in them. Props to the author.

I’d say this series will be good for 18+.  Yeah. Why?

I don’t think I mentioned that it’s a retelling of a classic story. You don’t even know its one until episode 2 which is this one. I have to say I look forward to see how Acacia retells the story. Already its so much more fun that the original. Wren continues to be a strong female lead which I love.

I’d say this series will be good for 18+.  I think I like that hellhound.

I loved it! This is such a big difference to Acacia’s previous characters. From a quiet lone gal, surviving with dangerous creatures and a timid store owner to a powerful warrior Wren.

This is a first episode that reads very fast and you’re zapped into the story line right from the start. There’s magic and mayhem. There’s soldiers and battle plans. There’s decisions and consequences. All gift wrapped in a short episode. Again loved it.

I’d say this series will be good for 18 and over just because of the images that may build in your head.
