Book Review: Sins of the Blood by Candace Adams

Book Title: Sins of the Blood

Book Author: Candace Adams

Rating: 5 Dragon Paws 5-paws

Warning – triggers and empaths may have problems reading this book. It’s lighter than the Witch Hunter but still has its moments, especially when the MC mentions what happened to her in the past with her vampire maker.

I admit, this is my first book to read with succubi being characters and I have to say, it’s sexy and wild, however the story is more about the vampires, particularly the blood sister and brother who lost important people to them. I also admit, I didn’t really care for chapter 1, the descriptions of her house weren’t interesting BUT there are hints inside the story that are so small that when you get to the end of the book, you’ll be going 0HHHH, I HAD A FEELING!

I really liked how here we have vampires who stayed true to being vampires – not day walkers. How they have problems and how they need to rely on humans to do business in the modern era. My favorite characters are Elijah and Kai. I wouldn’t mind reading about them more and I did hear that the author is planning a continuation and I have to say IT WILL PROBABLY BE WORTH IT!
