This book is imaginative, fascinating, and really takes you back to the past. As you read the journal entries of the people who owned the Eden Estate, you really get to know them and see how importance of things changed with time. Like at the beginning, it was about surviving winter and being afraid of saying goodbye to members of the family because there was always a chance not all would survive the harshness of the cold. Then, when you get to the more recent owners and you see one member mainly focused on dating. I don’t know about you, but I think entries from the older generations are so much more fun and interesting to read. Also begs the question – what will our generation leave behind, if we do journals? Will future generations enjoy our writings or focus on old tiktok videos…
Really great book for teens and Young Adult, however, older generations would like it as well. If you like history with a hint of ghosts and to read about relationships that don’t come easily, grab this for your kindle.
