Angelina: Introduce yourself please.

Renee: Hello, I’m Renee Lake.

Angelina: Did someone inspire you to become an author?

Renee: Other authors, but no one personally.

Angelina: How long does it take for you to write a story?

Renee: Six months to two years. I have four kids and a full time office job.

Angelina: Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

Renee: All in my head, sometimes I get inspiration from other media.

Angelina: What does your family think of your writing?

Renee: They love it and support me.

Angelina: How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?

Renee: 8 and The Infested, coming Oct 2023 from Hansen House

Angelina: Who’s your favorite character you created?

Renee: Valora from Blood Born

Angelina: Who’s your least favorite character you created?

Renee: Jo from Blood Born

Angelina: Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

Renee: Not really, I try not to read reviews.

Angelina: What do you think makes a good story?

Renee: If it’s a book I would pay money to buy, that I can read in one sitting.

Angelina: Tell us about your WIP.

Renee: It’s a YA horror gothic romance
