It is an absolutely beautiful telling of a fated romance.

At first I didn’t know what I got myself into because I don’t like reading about moping teenagers. Soon, though, I hated it even more because it was now a moping twenty something young woman. I really groaned when I read how many days Amber had been depressed over her last and only relationship with a guy who was a complete jerk. However, as Radley appeared more and more in the picture, I started to like the novel.

It was nice to see Amber finding herself again, being so open with Radley, and learning about the supernatural… especially about the butterfly. Actually there were two butterflies… there was a blue one, too. Though, at times the story line felt a little dragged out, the ending chapters made up for it.

It is truly an inspired work and I can tell how Uma’s mother became a drill sergeant so she would finish it and shared it with others.

Some of the ideas and or emotions are not suited for an audience younger than 17 I would say. Mainly due to the emotions being presented.

I recommend this novel to girls of 17 and older who love romantic storylines mixed in with the supernatural. Ladies, there are no vampires or werewolves in this novel, thank god. I’m not sure if boys or men would like it because it may be cheesy, but who am I to judge?

Oh and I love the hook line for this novel: I will wait a hundred years for you. Also, the cover is really beautiful and was one of the main reasons why I wanted to read it. I never really did read the synopsis…

Happy reading.
