Book Title: Women in Science – 50 Fearless Pioneers Who Changed The World
Book Author and Illustrator: Rachel Ignotofsky
Rating: 5 Dragon Paws
This is a great book for young girls, women, women reading or science clubs, and men. The language is simple, straight to the point, and appealing to any audience because of the accompanying illustrations. Every woman has two pages, one for an individual drawing and the other is for one page of information. The information is: of when the woman was born, any accomplishments, and people who inspired them, and some facts.
One can find the list of women in the very beginning, learn about each of the 50 women, and glimpse at the section “More women in science.” What I liked about that section was that the last woman is left blank and it says “The next great scientist could be you!” That is an inspiration for young girls who are thinking about careers and what to do after high school. The book also provides an illustrated glossary section and a list of sources that Rachel used for this book.
I will be buying a couple of copies as gifts for March 8, International Women’s Day. ^_^
I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
