Book Review: Sacrificed to the Dragon (Stonefire Dragons #1)

Book Title: Sacrificed to the Dragon (Stonefire Dragons #1) dragon

Book Author: Jessie Donovan

Source: $0.00 for Kindle version on Amazon

Rating: 4 Dragon Paws 4

I am happy to report that the sexual content did take over the story line. This novel is for eighteen and over.

The story is gripping from the very beginning. Melanie Hall is ready to do anything to save her fifteen year old brother, including sacrificing herself to a man who is half man half dragon. The sacrifice part is that she’s a willing individual to have sex and bear his child. She doesn’t count on the wild ride that comes with meeting her dragon man, Tristan, and slowly accepts to liking her fate.

The author did a terrific jobs showing both point of views (Melanie’s and Tristan’s) and did a terrific job of showing Tristan arguing with his dragon half. It made me think on how else dragons are represented in fiction. They are not only represented as lovers of treasure, but also protective beings of family. However, there was one part of the novel that felt like the pace changed which is the reason for the 4 paws. The pace jumped and then returned to normal. However, others may not notice it. I also think the dragon part of Tristan maybe felt a little too much at times and it made me wonder on how century old beings can be so needy or moody. I guess that it would make sense when the beings are part dragons. Hmm.

I highly recommend this novel to romance and dragon lovers. ^_^
