Author Interview Friday – V.B. Emanuele!

Hello! Today with us we have the amazing V.B. Emanuele! *Applause*

Angelina: Introduce yourself please.

V.B. Emanuele: Hi! I’m Valentina Emanuele but everyone knows me by my author name, V.B. Emanuele. I’m originally from Italy, but have lived in the states on dual citizenship since I was 15. I’m 43 now. I write plot-heavy Dark Romance (Billionaire, Mafia, and Taboo).

Angelina: Did someone inspire you to become an author?

V.B. Emanuele: Not really, I’ve been writing since age 7. I started writing plays and had my family acting in them, though they were difficult to control haha. It was like herding cats. Later, those plays turned into short stories and eventually evolved to where I am now.

Angelina: How long does it take for you to write a story?

V.B. Emanuele: It depends. I have both longer and shorter novels. I usually write my first draft in a month or two but if I’m working on multiple books at once, t takes a bit longer. I’m also an editor for other authors, so if I’m working on one of their books, it may take a little longer.

Angelina: Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

V.B. Emanuele: Dreams, shower thoughts, people watching etc. I find inspiration everywhere. If research is needed (which is usually is), I absorb all the info I can online or talk to people. It’s important even if I write fiction. My books contain all real world elements.

Angelina: What does your family think of your writing?

V.B. Emanuele: The family who matter, supports it 100%. The others don’t know who I am. They would clutch their pearls.

Angelina: How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?

V.B. Emanuele: I have written 12 but am about to publish #8 in March 2023. I think my current favorite is Tryst, but The Veil will always have my whole heart.

Angelina: Who’s your favorite character you created?

V.B. Emanuele: That’s a hard question. Valentino Greco from The Veil Trilogy, I think. He is everything. His muse is a real person.

Angelina: Who’s your least favorite character you created?

V.B. Emanuele: A tie.

#1 Felipe from The Veil Trilogy. He’s the ultimate villain but not the kind you fall for. He’s REALLY evil. I mean, as a character he’s a fantastic bad guy, but I’ve been told I did too good of a job on him haha. Everyone wants to watch him burn.

#2 Alicia from Tryst. She’s the female main character’s mother. She was written to resemble real world issues with having a mother who isn’t the model “homemaker” / stay-at-home mom. She was written that way because I had bigger plans for the female main character’s dad and I also wanted to show not all family’s are perfect.

Angelina: Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

V.B. Emanuele: I love my readers! I have a group chat with my large ARC team, and am very involved with them. They’re incredible and we laugh a lot.

Angelina: What do you think makes a good story?

V.B. Emanuele: I want a story to suck me in and keep me there like an alternate reality while I’m reading it.

Angelina: Tell us about your WIP.

V.B. Emanuele: My currents are: #1 The Veiling which is book 3 in The Veil Trilogy, so the final book in that series. It’s a Billionaire and Mafia romance built around a secret Masquerade. It’s really exciting. #2 Charm which is book 2 in the Tryst Duology. Tryst was a Mafia, Dad’s Best Friend. This one is a Best Friend’s dad, Work Romance.

Angelina: Thank you for hanging out with us. Please share your social links where readers can follow you.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW FRIDAY – WITH Eileen Troemel

Hello! Today with us we have the amazing Eileen Troemel! *Applause*

Angelina: Introduce yourself please.

Eileen: Hi! I’m Eileen Troemel. I write under three names – Eileen Troemel (obviously), Ava M Taylor (erotic romance) and RJ Stone (children’s books). I’ve been writing since I was 8 but seriously for the last twenty years. I published my first full length book in 2014 and haven’t looked back.

Angelina: Did someone inspire you to become an author?

Eileen: My third grade teacher. We had a writing assignment where we had to write a short story. It’s when I realized I could write stories.

Angelina: How long does it take for you to write a story?

Eileen: I’ve written a story in as little as two weeks and as long as ten years.

Angelina: Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

Eileen: Everywhere! I’ve been inspired by political discussions, documentaries, a habit of someone, and almost anything else you can think of.

Angelina: What does your family think of your writing?

Eileen: My husband and daughters are supportive. I have a large family so their responses vary but overall they’re supportive.

Angelina: How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?

Eileen: Eileen has over 40 books and short stories and over 70 crochet patterns, RJ has about 4 or 5, Ava M Taylor has about 50 short stories and books. My favorite – the next one I will write.

Angelina: Who’s your favorite character you created?

Eileen: Main female character in my Wayfarer series – Adara Stone – she’s beaten down but fights her way back up. Even when she’s established herself, she still has moments of doubt and uncertainty. She’s a well rounded character who feels almost real.

Angelina: Who’s your least favorite character you created?

Eileen: I’m not sure I have a least favorite character. Even with my villains, I like how they develop.

Angelina: Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

Eileen: Occasionally I hear from my readers. It’s usually about how much they like a particular story.

Angelina: What do you think makes a good story?

Eileen: Well developed characters, a good plot… it has to make you feel and whisk you away from reality and into the story.

Angelina: Tell us about your WIP.

Eileen: I’m working on two things – I have an alien alliance series this is a trilogy and the first book is done and I’ve started the second book. Surrendered to the Sea Demon – second book in the Sacrificed series. This is a shifter book featuring a shifter sea monster and his female mate who must be given a toxin in order to shift to survive in the ocean.

BOOK CHARACTER INTERVIEW WITH Zoe the Kittycat, BY Sammi Mason

Hello! Today with us we have the amazing Zoe! *Applause*

Angelina: What is your full name? Do you have a nickname (if so, who calls you this)?

Zoe: My favorite thing I’ve been called is Soul Sucking Demon Bitch, but I’m not a demon. Everyone calls me I-Do, which is a nickname from when I was little because I used to say I do it. My actual name is Zoe, the only person who calls me that is Hudson, and only when he wants to make a point. Mainly he calls me Kittycat. Not that anything to do with him is relevant, so that can be edited out.

Angelina: Which book are you from? Who’s your creator and what do you think of him?

Zoe: Overseer’s Fierce Mate. I have a point to prove to my creator because I am no one’s mate.

Angelina: What do you look like? If someone were to play you in a movie, who would it be?

Zoe: I have a body that can seduce men to their death. There is no one who could play me, but if I had to pick someone maybe Angelina Jolie.

Angelina: What does your voice sound like?

Zoe: Usually irritated, I’m a Pallas cat shifter and all Pallas cats are loners, especially mine. Plus people are annoying.

Angelina: Do you have a motto? If so, what is it?

Zoe: Do to others what they would do to you, but do it first and cause them more pain.

Angelina: Do you have any annoying habits, quirks, strange mannerisms, or other defining characteristics?

Zoe: Quirks, as in kinks? A few kinks, ok loads, but who doesn’t? They are fun.

Angelina: Do you have any physical traits that stand out (such as scars, birthmarks, tattoos, tentacles etc.)? If you have scars, how did you get them? If you have tattoos, why did you get them and what meaning do they have to you?

Zoe: Does breathing count? As a vampire I don’t need to but I still do, to stop me maiming people who annoy me. Tattoos would make me too identifiable and therefore a weakness, I do not allow myself to have a weakness. I have many scars, most with mundane stories of battles with warlords and other really evil dudes. The most visible is a bullet wound to my stomach, but don’t worry, the people trafficker who ordered it, came off far worse.

Angelina: Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

Zoe: I’m sure I don’t. However, I do tell people to get a room a lot, mainly because most people don’t get enough sex. Hudson does need to be told that we are not mates, will not be married and there will not more sex. Can you believe he told my brother that? The bite he got from my cat was the least he deserved, he’s damn lucky she didn’t aim for his manhood. His glorious, long thick… we’ll edit that bit out as well.

Angelina: What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

Zoe: Hands down, it was when my best friend went missing when we were kids. We were in the woods, she went one direction to get cherries, and I went another for apples. Then everything went silent, and I couldn’t find her. No one can. I’ve searched every hell hole and brothel in the world. Ruined organizations that were above the law, tortured, killed and interrogated all for nothing. I’m out of leads, but my search will not stop until I’ve found her.

I’m not sure why meeting Hudson feels like it should be mentioned here. He’s a hook-up nothing more. Ok, he might be a sexy as f*ck, hook-up who can go all night. With a wink that drives me wild, but he does not feature in the most important events of my life.

Angelina: Do you have a girlfriend, boyfriend, a harem etc?

Zoe: I have a hook-up who wrongly believes we are mates and will be married.

Angelina: Which person do you wish you were closest to?

Zoe: My best friend. I miss her. I’d like to be closer to my inner cat, I’m working on it but she’s not the um… most patient of creatures.

Angelina: Why should the readers pick up your story and where can they get it?

Zoe: So they can watch me prove that Hudson and I are not mates and will not be married. https://books2read.com/OverseersFierceMate

Angelina Monday – What’s one of my hobbies when I’m not writing?

Good Morning!

Can you take a guess?

.

.

.

Hmm. One of my hobbies is bellydancing!

Yes, that’s me! I’ve been a dancer since high school age and tried everything from tap to bellydance. I love to dance. If there’s music playing in a store, while I shop, I shimmy my hips and hum. It just feels so good to move my body to a beat.

This is one of the reasons why you may see a dance or two in my books. In Seven Hours: Challenge Accepted, my characters Waltz! I’ve performed waltz on a stage with a troupe and danced it in competitions. Bellydancing- I practice at home, performed at bars, restaurants, and at car shows. All great experiences.

I tried playing several musical instruments, but from my point of view, reading notes is hell…. so I dance as a hobby.

Were you surprised?

What’s one of your hobbies?

AUTHOR INTERVIEW FRIDAY – WITH W.A. ASHES

Hello! Today with us we have the amazing W.A. Ashes! *Applause*

Angelina: Introduce yourself please.

W.A. Ashes: I’m W.A. Ashes, author of YA and middle grade fantasy.

Angelina: Did someone inspire you to become an author?

W.A. Ashes: My sister. My first, youngest sister (I come from a big family) has dyslexia and always had trouble reading when she was growing up. I started writing stories to read to her and it all kind of snowballed from there.

Angelina: How long does it take for you to write a story?

W.A. Ashes: Haha, that depends. If I’m working on my preferred story length, in my preferred style, it takes me about a year. That’s because I like novels that use purple prose, or flowery language. My novellas usually only take me about 6 months (including editing time).

Angelina: Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

W.A. Ashes: I’ve always been a big fantasy and science fiction nerd. A lot of my inspiration comes from video games or sci-fi concepts. Tales from Morzania was inspired by Bioware’s Dragon Age, I have a kid sci-fi series in the works that’s heavily inspired by Star Wars.

Angelina: What does your family think of your writing?

W.A. Ashes: My siblings love it, my mom reads it but doesn’t always agree with some of my character choices. My dad isn’t much of a reader. But overall, they’re pretty supportive.

Angelina: How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?

W.A. Ashes: I’ve written 14. My favorite is probably either White Lies or The Jewel of the Wasted Glades.

Angelina: Who’s your favorite character you created?

W.A. Ashes: Juliana and Matt. Juliana is who I want to be. She’s brave, strong willed, and outspoken. Matt…he’s my baby. He’s the first character I published in a novel and anytime I write about him it feels like coming home.

Angelina: Who’s your least favorite character you created?

W.A. Ashes: Ugh, Caliban. First off, I wish I’d done a better job figuring out his backstory before I started writing the story. Second off, he’s literally chaos. About 99% of the things, he does doesn’t make sense to me or the reader. He’s very hard to understand.

Angelina: Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

W.A. Ashes: I love when my readers talk to me. Usually, it’s good things. I’ve heard a lot about Juliana and my book The Strange and Unusual History of Eden Estate. They talk about characters they relate to and what parts of the story were their favorites. I’ve had a few reach out and tell me, “I like your books but I’m not reading this one because one of the themes in it bothers me” and those comments are good to hear too.

Angelina: What do you think makes a good story?

W.A. Ashes: Relatability. It doesn’t matter what world or time your story takes place in as long as the characters themselves defy time. Meaning, they have to be relatable. They have to do and say things that the reader could see themselves doing or saying.

Angelina: Tell us about your WIP.

W.A. Ashes: I have a couple. Right now I’m working on The Daily Dead (a paranormal, clean romance), The Gilded Mirror (the 4th installment in Tales from Morzania), and a sci-fi kids series that’s title I’m not ready to share yet.

Angelina: Thank you for hanging out with us. Please share your social links where readers can follow you.

BOOK CHARACTER INTERVIEW WITH Carter Pemberton, BY A.L. Maruga

Hello! Today with us we have the amazing Carter Pemberton! *Applause*

Angelina: What is your full name? Do you have a nickname (if so, who calls you this)?

Carter: Carter Pemberton (Dickbrain – Finn calls me that) (Criminal – Raegan calls me that) (Psycho – Mia my queen calls me that)

Angelina: Which book are you from? Who’s your creator and what do you think of him?

Carter: Reign of the Queen & Fall of a King. My creator is A.L. Maruga, she’s alright when we are not butting heads and she’s not trying to unalive me. She doesn’t seem to love it when I get into her head to whisper my sweet nothing at her or try to get into her panties. Together we are enjoying this wild ride into darkness, depravity and sin.

Angelina: What do you look like? If someone were to play you in a movie, who would it be?

Carter: I’m a cross between Sean O’pry and Matthew Noszka, just better looking. Lol jokes, ya no I’m not, those two got nothing on me. I’ve got these intense husky blue-gray eyes that make all the girls panties drop. My body is a work of art and my skin is my canvas. I’m covered in colorful tats from my neck down to my fingers. I’m a starting football quarterback with all the muscles in all the right places. Tom Brady, who?

Angelina: What does your voice sound like?

Carter: Do you want me to whisper sweet nothing at you darling? My voice is raspy, deep and filled with promises of dark nights, soaked sheets and a work out your body won’t soon forget.

Angelina: Do you have a motto? If so, what is it?

Carter: Fuck it, live to the fullest with no regrets. Shame is a excuse to beat you down. My brothers over everything.

Angelina: Do you have any annoying habits, quirks, strange mannerisms, or other defining characteristics?

Carter: I’m generally pain in the ass, my creator & bros will tell you that. I can’t sit still, always have to be moving about or playing with something. I’m always hunger for food, my girl and power.

Angelina: Do you have any physical traits that stand out (such as scars, birthmarks, tattoos, tentacles etc.)? If you have scars, how did you get them? If you have tattoos, why did you get them and what meaning do they have to you?

Carter: My tattoos are integral part of me. They’re my art and my skin is my canvas. I started getting them mainly to piss of my father, Mr. Stick up his ass, but then they became necessary. A way to fuel my anger, disappointment and abuse. My scars are all hidden from view, some would say they are more than skin deep. This world creates craters on your soul, darling.

Angelina: Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

Carter: Bro. Like legit can’t help myself, ya feel me? I also have a dark potty mouth, using vivid profanity whenever possible. Care to come clean it out for me?

Angelina: What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

Carter: The day I met Mia Stratford, that girl turned my world upside down and inside out. I will never be the same. My soul no longer belongs solely to me, she has claimed it, in her vicious little hands.

Angelina: Do you have a girlfriend, boyfriend, a harem etc?

Carter: I have girl that won’t let me have her to myself, one that I would give my soul gladly for. The girl I will set this world on fire for and watch while it burn at her beautiful feet. One that is unfortunately for me, determined to bring me to my powerful knees at all costs. Mia Stratford, the light to my dark and depraved soul. I have to share her with my brothers and fellow kings, kinda blows I don’t get her to myself. But watching them with her too has been some of the sexiest and hottest moments of my life.

Angelina: Which person do you wish you were closest to?

Carter: I’m close to all my fellow kings, ours is brotherhood forged in the fires of pain and destruction. I’m trying my best to slide my way into Mia Stratford’s heart, so she can never be a part from me. She is mine, she just hasn’t figured that out yet.

Angelina: Why should the readers pick up your story and where can they get it?

Carter: My story is one of vengeance, pain, control, power and possessive love. If you dare to travel into the dark and destructive world of Casbury, be prepared to leave your sanity and your panties at the door. There is no forgiveness here. The kings will take your body and mind prisoner on a ride you will not return intact from. You can read mine and my brothers story if you’re brave enough in,

Reign of the Queen https://books2read.com/u/3LVvae and in the continuation of our story,

Fall of a King https://books2read.com/u/3JoykJ

both are available in Kindle Unlimited.

Angelina Monday – My first book and how I’ve grown since then

It’s embarrassing to talk about, but at the same time, you need to know just how much I grew as an author.

Deity’s Soulmate is my first published book. The left cover is edition 1, the green is edition 2, and finally the last version of the story is cover 3.

I wrote this story when I was hanging out with other writers on a collaboration website (which no longer exists). The fellow writers and readers on the site, loved it so much, I decided to publish it. It was a big mistake because all I heard was praise and no – you have a lot of grammar mistakes…. oi!

Once the bad reviews started pouring in, I learned my first lesson – use an editor who’s not your friend, but a professional editor. Get a proofreader. Find alpha and beta readers. Start an ARC team. With the hard lesson learned, I unpublished it and published edition 2, however, many still weren’t happy with the book, although a lot of readers did say I’ve gotten better and the story is fascinating.

Years later, after the second edition has been promoted and I’ve wrote and published many more stories, I realized I stopped promoting it. I wasn’t sure why I stopped promoting it and it made me sad. I didn’t want to be embarrassed over my very first published work. I wanted to be able to share it with pride. So, I sat down, went through another round of edits and hired my current editor to work on it once more.

I also changed the title and cover. Many readers had a problem pronouncing the title and I decided to make things easier. Also, many like to see models on covers so I switched routes from art to a model based cover.

I am no longer embarrassed over this book and happy for readers to pick it up to read!!!

Now, I have 16 published works with many WIP’s in the works! I get better with each story and I’m proud to be an author.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW FRIDAY – WITH M.A. Abraham!

Hello! Today with us we have the amazing M.A. Abraham! *Applause*

Angelina: Introduce yourself please.

M. A. Abraham: Hi, I am M. A. Abraham author of several series, as well as several stand alone books. When I am not writing, I am working for our family business, which keeps me out of trouble from pure lack of time to do much more than taking care of the company, and writing my stories. To keep me company I have two Siamese cats, One I named Athena Raven’s Paw, and the other Azorez Tathar Silver Myst. In my spare time, cough, I try to keep the nieces and nephews on their toes, and looking over their shoulders to see what is coming at them. Yes, I know… but it’s fun… they have found nicknames for me, Evil Christmas Elf, The Godmother, and Mistress of Ambush. Looks like I have a reputation to live up to. 😉 I will try my best.

Angelina: Did someone inspire you to become an author?

M. A. Abraham: When I was 14 a friend challenged me to a write off. It turned into a lifelong hobby with my niece eventually finding my stash of stories and deciding I needed to get them published. It was the push I needed to let the world know what I was doing behind the scenes.

Angelina: How long does it take for you to write a story?

M. A. Abraham: Depending on the motivation, and length of the story, it can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 months. The fastest I wrote was three full novels in the Elven Chronicles series. It took me 3 months. The words just kept coming. Vengeance has a Daughter took me 4 months.

Angelina: Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

M. A. Abraham: I used to enjoy sitting back and reading the Encyclopaedia Britannica when I was a child. I would research anything that stuck me at the time as interesting. As a student I was a Science buff, Physics, Chemistry, and mathematics, with a love of Astronomy. I loved reading anything historical. I was also very athletic, and dabbled in things like archery, as well as being a natural in track and field. I have always had wide interests and read anything that I could get my hands on. The more you read, the more you learn. The more diversified your studies the better you are able to carry on conversations with others. Granted, talking to some about philosophy while at a cabaret makes others look at you strangely.

Angelina: What does your family think of your writing?

M. A. Abraham: They have different views, as you can expect from a large family. Some read everything I write, others are proud to say they have an author in the family, but they are not readers. Mostly they seem pleased.

Angelina: How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?

M. A. Abraham: I have written somewhere over 70 books, not including those that are written and going through different stages of edits at this time. My favourite? I will always love a short story I wrote and published called Embracing the Light… gotta love them Elven toddlers, they were such stinkers, and so lively. I laughed so hard writing their story at times.

Angelina: Who’s your favorite character you created?

M. A. Abraham: I love them all, but I think Serenity has to be one of the top characters. She is my dragon general. Of course there is Eden, Gabriel, Marious…. you get the picture.

Angelina: Who’s your least favorite character you created?

M. A. Abraham: That is simple, the Drazon. He ruled the Demon Hordes, and even they didn’t like him.

Angelina: Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

M. A. Abraham: I understand I have a larger following than I thought I did. And yes, I often hear from those who read my books. Mostly they want sequels to the standalones, or want to know why I killed off characters (war can be brutal). They argue over which character is theirs, book boyfriends are a big deal it seems and can cause verbal sparring at times.

Angelina: What do you think makes a good story?

M. A. Abraham: I like a story that takes me somewhere out of myself, to another world, another realm, or just to another idea. I like reading books that have depth, but aren’t too serious. I want to laugh, and maybe cry a little. I want to sit back and shake my head at how silly some characters can be. I like action and always want that HEA at the end.

Angelina: Tell us about your WIP.

M. A. Abraham: I have several at the moment. I am writing book 2 in the Tantalus United series, I am working on the final book for the One Empire Series. I am also beginning to work on book 8 in the Guardians of the Empire Series. Granted, there are a few standalones that will be coming your way soon mixed in with the rest, but that is for next year.
