Great News

Hey everyone,

I’m not going to apologize for disappearing on you guys, mainly for one big reason. I’m a new Mother! Last week, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Now, I won’t post any of photos of him, yet, because, I want to keep him for myself for the next 3 months. It’s also part of my culture.

If you guys remember, we learned from a couple of fellow bloggers about fathers who are writers and how they are able to keep writing. I’m going to be joining the ranks as a mother/blogger/author. Yikes!

I do not know when I’ll be posting next, but I will be. At the moment, I sleep when he sleeps. Right now, my mother is sitting with him so I could eat, take a bath, and relax until the next feeding. I’m very thankful to her for her BIG help. If I didn’t have her around, it would be hard. Husband just got home and he will help out a bit, too. Life is good. Oh, he’s so beautiful! My son, not husband. Kidding. Both are cute. And, he’s healthy. The BEST part!

I am still reading “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” Not sure when that will be finished, but I’ll post a review. Also, I got 3 books in 1 on my kindle about past lives. I’m 1% done with it and hoping to find some time to read, even if it will be 5 minutes.

I don’t have time to actively write, though Deity’s Soulmate (2nd edition) is still being edited and worked on by Al and Laura who edited Seven Hours for me so when I’ll have some energy, I’ll need to check out their edits and add those in. The feedback from the beta’s is in and I was able to look over it before I headed to the hospital. The cover is almost done. It’s so much brighter and more fun. Hopefully, you guys will like it.

Also, since now I’m a mother (I know that I keep repeating myself, but hey ;)), I can honestly write about a pregnant woman and new mother so maybe I’ll give it a go in the future. Love it when life experiences also help out with one’s writing.

Anyway, this was my post to let you guys know that I’m still around and am thinking about my writing. The 2nd edition will be published so no worries there and I’ll dedicate it to my little boy. One of the reasons why I wanted to rewrite it is because I wanted my son to read my good writing and enter the world of my imagination. Stories with dragons is a good way for him to learn about his mother. I want him to be proud of me…and any sales from 2nd edition will go towards diapers. Those things are expensive!!!

Thank you for reading and stay tuned.

PS: Yes, I’m aware that there’s one short story left for a gift. It’s in the process, please bare with me.

  2. Wowzers, congratulations!! And yes, every kids should love dragons!! Maybe Pete’s Dragon could be a fun start!! And having changed a few diapers myself, I can vouch for the costliness of them. Keep writing, keep loving your people and pop in and say hello from time to time!

I’m curious, which culture keeps the baby secret for three months? Heard this once from a Russian friend but nowhere else. Honestly would love to know!
